The guided kayak and snorkel adventure starts at He’eia State Park at the filming location of Jurassic World! You may journey to Coconut Island, home of the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology (and the real Gilligan’s Island), or one of the bay’s many unique patch reefs. In either case, it will be a beautiful snorkeling destination. Along the way, explore the protected water in search of sea turtles, rays, and tropical fish in their natural habitat. Your instructor will give an eco-talk about the bay’s history, the different types of reef and marine life you might see, and also explain some of the challenges facing the ecosystem of the bay.
The protected waters of the Kane’ohe Bay make it a perfect place for paddlers of all skill levels. This hands-on approach makes it a safe and exciting learning experience for all ages.
